The To fill list

What to pour or weigh for today's open orders, bottle by bottle.

Updated October 2, 20261 min read

To fill, in Carboy's menu, turns your open orders into a pouring list: what to decant or weigh out, bottle by bottle, for everything still waiting to ship.

What's on it

Carboy reads your open orders, oldest first, and keeps the lines of pooled sizes that aren't fulfilled yet. They're grouped by pool, with the pool that needs the most poured at the top. For each pool you see:

  • each size with its count, such as 3 × 5 ml;
  • Pours: the total to pour or weigh out;
  • what's left after these in the pool;
  • the order numbers it covers.

Two open orders for Oud Reserve, one for 3 × 5 ml and one for 1 × 10 ml, show as one block that pours 25 ml. Carboy took those orders from the pool when they came in, so left after these is what the pool holds now.

Press Print for a paper copy at the bench.

What isn't on it

  • Fulfilled lines. A partly fulfilled order shows only what's left to ship.
  • Products that aren't in a pool.
  • Open orders past the oldest 200. A note says when the list is cut off; ship some and the rest move up.

If Shopify doesn't return every open order when the list loads, a warning says the list may be missing orders. Reload in a minute before you print.
